Feeling Tired All The Time
Many people spend day after day tired; even though the sleep they have had is sufficient. If you are tired all the time or even suffering from exhaustion read on:
The first thing to do is to look at your lifestyle and see what inexpensive, obvious changes you can make. Eating healthy food (a blood type diet is highly recommended) and leaving time between your last intake of food during the day and going to bed, there are many different things which could be causing this problem.
Drinking, on average 2lts of water every day and taking a multi-vitamin and mineral to ensure that your body is getting everything it needs to function at its best, will also help.
Taking some time for rest, relaxation and recreation need not be costly, though they do require a shift in your attitude towards your overall health and wellbeing!
Checking that you have the support of a good mattress is beneficial. Unless the spine is supported in a straight line, the brain will constantly wake you to change position because it does all its internal healing work while you sleep and cannot do this effectively if the spine is unsupported.
If you make these changes and are still feeling tired all the time, you may want to rule out any medical conditions which could be causing you to be tired.
A medical doctor can do some tests, as can a naturopath, to rule out some of the most common medical conditions which can make you feel tired, such as Chronic fatigue, sleep apnoea, depression, thyroid disease, diabetes, anaemia and rheumatoid arthritis.
There are other symptoms which may accompany these conditions which may need to be assessed. However, if a current medical condition has been ruled out and you are still feeling tired all the time, you may want to explore Psychosomatic Therapy to find out if the problems you are experiencing are related to your body/mind syncopation.
Psychosomatic Therapy will help you to understand and bring balance to your body/mind. Our emotions, left unaddressed, can cause physical and even mental problems. You see, as we are faced with challenging emotional issues, our body can begin to store our responses at the cellular level creating patterns of behaviour and excess tissues over time.
Psychosomatic Therapists use the phrase “The Issues are in the tissues” of the body. It is helpful to have a box of tissues nearby, the paper kind, so that the issues can be released into those and not stored in the body’s tissues!
Tiredness, and many other Physical ailments, caused by the body’s response to traumatic situations, may require a rebalancing of your energy through thorough analysis, bodywork (trigger point acupressure techniques) and taking responsibility for what you create. Therefore, if you are experiencing problems which your medical doctor cannot explain and cure, Psychosomatic Therapy could very well be the answer!
